The following email was sent to adults within Midlothian Scouts on 05/01/2021

No Face to Face Scouting is permitted until further notice this has been the case since 26/12/2020. With yesterday’s announcement by the First Minister, the earliest we can possibly get back to Face to Face Scouting would be 1st February 2021. This is subject to further decisions and announcements by the Scottish Government and the Scout Association.

I would appreciate if you could update everyone within your Section / Group / Unit, if you had been meeting Face to Face.

Zoom meetings are still available for Leaders to use with their young people. Please do get in touch if you would like any help with this.

Further resources can be found at our updated COVID Resource page, including accessing the 1st Virtual Facebook Group

Borthwick is also closed until further notice.

Leaders can still go through the process to have COVID Risk Assessments ready for the restart of face to face Scouting. Those that have done them already, do not have to redo them

The previous announcement from Scouts Scotlaand is available here, when this is updated we will share the information.

I’d like to thank all our volunteers, young people and parents for all that we’ve achieved throughout this pandemic.
